Clematis

A slow growing Alpine Clematis which has relatively large creamy yellow flowers in April above a very dissected foliage of dark green leaves. Seems to require a sheltered sunny site in a raised wall, pot or large trough.

A dwarf, compact selection that is now rarely offered.

This, our favourite alpine clematis trails down a raised bed at the nursery and is fully hardy. It has many small greenish-yellow flowers with cream anthers and makes a stunning sight from March to May. Neutral to acid soil.
