Primarily, these plants are from the hedgerow where they receive shelter and semi-shade. However it is amazing how they can adorn an awkward spot which most other plants would not enjoy. The tuberous roots should be planted some 10cm below the surface. They also enjoy being planted into drier woodland areas.

Beautifull, large dark glossy green arrow-shaped leaves beautifully marked with silvery veins and patterning. Inconspicuous green flowers in May followed by bright red seed heads in late summer, 20cm. Limited availability.
